Ballantyne Homes in Charlotte, NC
Ballantyne is a planned development in south Charlotte, NC. Ballantyne is so large (~2,000 acres) that many see it as an area of
Charlotte. There are multiple neighborhoods within Ballantyne. Ballantyne has continued to grow and is very popular for people
relocating to Charlotte because of its' clean and organized design. Ballantyne is located on the southern edge of Charlotte and just
north of the South Carolina boarder. Ballantyne has easy access to Uptown Charlotte through the Lynx (Charlotte's lightrail). Ballantyne is
the last stop for the Lynx in south Charlotte. Driving Uptown from Ballantyne is a 25-30 minute drive.
Most of the houses that you will be viewing in Ballantyne will
be newer than those in the areas closer to Uptown Charlotte.
Most of these houses were built from the 1990's to present day.

Most of the houses in Charlotte and in Ballantyne will not
have basements. A lot of people moving to Charlotte from
other areas are interested in viewing houses with basements.
The ground in Charlotte is mostly clay and the water does
not run off properly to build this style of house.
Ballantyne has several high-end shopping opportunities available.
There are several great restaurants in the area and many that offer
outdoor dining.
The spa at Ballantyne Resort and the Ballantyne Country Club are two examples of the luxurious lifestyle that this area can offer.
There are many large office buildings in Ballantyne that allow the residents the option of working in the city or in a satelite office.
Ballantyne offers an escape from city living. You can drive a short distance into parts of South Carolina or SE Charlotte and be in
more rural areas. The yards in Ballantyne are usually not over a half acre but are larger than most of those found closer to the city.
Ballantyne offers a sense of community that many are looking for when relocating to Charlotte.
